Madden 25 Cover Vote Finals: Adrian Peterson or Barry Sanders?
By Josh Sanchez
The latest installment of EA Sports’ Madden NFL video game franchise is set to hit shelves on August 27 and it is a very special release. This year’s version of Madden NFL celebrates the video game franchise’s 25th anniversary. Unlike years in the past, this year’s game will not be following the previous trend — Madden ’11, Madden ’12, Madden ’13, etc. Instead, the game will be named Madden NFL 25.
Like last year, the Madden cover athlete will be determined by an interactive fan vote. Voting started on Monday, March 11 on ESPN.com/MaddenVote and we have finally come down to the final two players.
NFL legend and former Detroit Lions running back Barry Sanders is one of the finalists, while current Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson represents the “new school players.” Interestingly enough, Sanders entered the cover vote as an 8/1 favorite to grace the cover of Madden 25. Peterson started off with 16/1 odds.
Who do you think should be the next cover athlete? Vote in the poll below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Voting will end on April 24.
Madden NFL 25 will be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $59.99.
