The Los Angeles Kings are currently trying to defend their Stanley Cup title and that plan is going well. The only thing that stands in their way is the effort by the San Jose Sharks and unfortunately for the Kings, that effort to derail the Kings season is going well too. Los Angeles has the Sharks on the brink of elimination but that’s only a box score technicality entering Game 6, as this Sharks team has no quit in them.

San Jose has yet to lose at home in the entire postseason, and they’ll need to continue that streak on Sunday if they want to keep their season alive to force a Game 7.

But while Antti Niemi and company are capable of beating the Kings, Los Angeles has Jonathan Quick in net for them and he’s proven to be golden in the clutch. The last thing Los Angeles wants is to return to the Staples Center for Game 7, as winning things in San Jose and being the first Western Conference team to clinch a berth in the Finals is very ideal.
