The Brooklyn Nets have a gaping hole in management as they currently don’t have a head coach. It’s looking like that might change though as Indiana Pacers assistant Brian Shaw is looking like he could be the strongest candidate to be hired as the next head coach of the Brooklyn Nets.

According to Yahoo! Sports guru Adrian Wojnarowski, both Brian Shaw and Lionel Hollins are the two names Brooklyn has zeroed in on with Shaw being the guy who could be the strongest candidate.

Shaw is benefiting from the amazing season the Indiana Pacers are having this season and Brooklyn might not have to wait long to get into further contact with him. While the Nets are focused on Shaw, the assistant is focused on helping the Pacers win Game 7 of their Eastern Conference Finals showdown with the Miami Heat.

Lionel Hollins apparently hasn’t had any talks with the Memphis Grizzlies due to “major differences in philosophy”. So it’s looking like the Nets will have their pick between Hollins and Shaw but given the Pacers success this year and the way the Nets roster is currently built, it seems Shaw would be the better fit and talks between the two sides should only heat up once the Pacers postseason is over.
