Strength of schedule can be misleading, but that doesn’t stop us all from glancing over the rankings before the start of every season to see where our favorite team comes in. This year a pair of bottom feeders in the SEC top the list with Kentucky and Arkansas having the toughest road ahead in 2013. The Florida Gators also have a tough schedule in their future, but they have the talent to deal with nearly every team in the nation.

On the opposite side of the rankings, Oregon, who many believe to be a national title contender, has the 113th ranked schedule. For a team with a roster of their talent, the road to a title berth is all but paved. Barring a slip up against their easy schedule, the Ducks should be right in the mix at seasons end. The same goes for Ohio State, who ranks just a few spots higher at 105.

To be fair, strength of schedule is based off of last year’s records, so it could all change, but things look promising for Oregon and Ohio State.

If the past few years have been any indication of what to expect, we could be on our way to watching Oregon or Ohio State take on the SEC champions — because the SEC is always in the title game, right?
