Steve Nash is old. The Lakers are need a point guard. Peyton Siva is young. Peyton Siva is a point guard.

Could it actually be that simple? Maybe.

It’s highly questionable whether Siva will even slip into the second-round, but he would honestly be the ideal fit for the Lakers. He comes with a winning pedigree, fresh off winning the NCAA men’s basketball championship with Louisville, and boasts a remarkable motor.

That said, he can’t shoot. Which could be a problem for the Lakers in the immediate future should their roster resemble anything we saw last season. Even so, there’s not way in hell they would pass up a player of his caliber should he fall to them at 48.

The Lakers are also reportedly working out Miami power forward Kenny Kadji, Syracuse guard Brandon Triche, USC center Dwayne Dedmon, Arkansas guard B.J. Young, and Wake Forest guard C.J. Harris.
