NBA Trade Rumors — Doc Rivers and Kevin Garnett have reportedly been interested in potentially carrying on their partnership in LA, if the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Clippers were to hook up on a blockbuster deal. However, if the deal does not happen, which seems very possible at this point, the trio could also stay with the Celtics for another run.

The general consensus around the league has been that this is the summer that the Celtics finally blow it up and start rebuilding, but according to ESPN, Garnett and Co. could stay for another run:

"It’s likewise believed the Celtics’ trio all prefer to carry on in Boston for one more season, but sources say they have undeniable interest in the idea of teaming up with the Clippers if it can’t happen with the Celtics. Garnett, like Rivers, has not yet committed to come back next season, but sources say the likelihood of the 37-year-old agreeing to play one more season with the Celtics increases significantly if Pierce’s team option for the 2013-14 season is picked up and they receive assurances they’ll get one more season together."

It seems that all the guys are not reluctant to having another shot at a championship, albeit a long shot. However, at the end of the day, it will all be up to the Celtics front-office. At this point, blowing it up would undoubtedly be the better option for the Celtics, as both Garnett and Pierce have market value, and it would be silly not to capitalize on that.
