Slow down people, Oakland Raiders assistant head coach and offensive line coach Tony Sparano is alive and well.
After news broke yesterday that Sopranos start James Gandolfini had passed, NFL fans were seriously confused and began to send their condolences to Sparano and his family.
I suppose it is a simple mistake to make, if you really have no idea what is going on, but the results were slightly comical.
Part of the beauty of social media is watching people have their “oops” moments on a public platform, and this is one of those cases.
Below are some of the tweets from NFL fans that have mistaken Gandolfini for Sparano.
RIP Tony Sparano. NFL Great. The Jets, Dolphins, Cowboys, and Raiders were lucky to have you.
