Andrew Bynum Set To Resume Basketball Activity
To claim that the Andrew Bynum project was a failure for the Philadelphia 76ers would be a serious understatement. After the Sixers acquired Bynum in a four-team trade, the center didn’t play in a single game for his new team which ended with Philly missing out on the playoffs. According to AP, Bynum is set to resume basketball activity soon:
"Philadelphia 76ers center Andrew Bynum has completed his rehabilitation from season-ending knee surgery and is set to resume basketball workouts next week.Bynum’s agent, David Lee, told The Associated Press on Monday night there’s “not a concern in the world” that Bynum will be ready for training camp."
Most expect the Sixers to forget Bynum and start rebuilding around the young core of the team. It remains a very interesting topic as to which team will end up gambling on the big man, considering that his knees could blow up at any time. Bynum’s season officially ended when he had arthroscopic surgery on both his knees.
No rumors have surfaced as to which team could be interested in Bynum’s services, but despite his injury woes he is one of the top free agents this summer.
