They started off the first round and they’re kicking off things in the second round. While there aren’t any top prospects left meaning this “No. 1” pick isn’t nearly as hard to figure out as the first one was, the Cleveland Cavaliers clearly have a bright future ahead of them and have drafted very well so far in the 2013 NBA Draft.
So with the 31st overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected …
Anthony Bennett was clearly the gem of the draft for the Cav’s and grabbing the much hyped Sergey Karasev with the 19th overall pick, Cleveland has pieced together a draft they can be proud of. Adding … to the mix is only icing on top of the cake as while some may argue that Bennett was a reach, the draft as a whole for the Cavaliers was without a doubt something to be happy with.
The Cavaliers are apparently content with the draft they’ve had though as any hopes of seeing Allen Crabbe in a Cav’s uniform were dashed when Cleveland traded him to the Portland Trailblazers.
Still, Allen Crabbe is going to a team ready to win now or at least grow together over the next season in order to ensure contention is in their immediate future.
