The Milwaukee Bucks used the No. 9 overall pick to select Michigan stud Trey Burke, but immediately turned around and dealt Burke to the Utah Jazz for the No. 14 and 21 picks in the 2013 NBA draft.
After the trade the Jazz used the No. 14 overall pick to select UCLA’s star Shabazz Muhammad.
Ken Berger had the Burke trade first:
Utah is sending the 14th and 21st pick to Minnesota for Trey Burke, the 9th overall pick, league sources say.

Essentially the Bucks flipped Burke, a player they didn’t need to the Jazz in exchange for Muhammad and another pick.
Not a bad deal.
Here’s NBA.com’s thoughts on Muhammad:
"Muhammad is a lottery pick. He’s young, and he’s a long way from being a finished product, but he’s got an arsenal of offensive skills that will translate to the NBA and earn him a key role as one of his team’s primary scoring options. In order to become an elite player, he’ll have to develop skills that don’t involve scoring."
Confused yet? Utah gets their guy in Burke and ships Muhammad off to the Bucks. He’s just one part in a package deal, so we’ll have to wait and see what the Bucks do with the rest of the picks.
