The funeral for 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd was held today as hundreds of mourners showed up to give their support to the entire Lloyd family and all of those who were affected by his murder. Lloyd was allegedly gunned down by former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on June 17 in North Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Among the mourners at Lloyd’s funeral were members of his former football team, the Boston Bandits, who wore their jerseys and chanted the name of their fallen teammate.

Lloyd’s murder shocked the sports world when it was reported that Hernandez was involved. Not only did Hernandez allegedly know what happened, but he is believed to be the man who pulled the trigger and he is now facing first-degree murder charges that could land him in jail for the rest of his life.

According to the most recent speculation from the media and law enforcement, Hernandez may have murdered Lloyd as a continued cover up for a double-murder in Boston last year that Hernandez reportedly played a role in.

We send out our thoughts and prayers to the entire Lloyd family.
