Earlier in the day, it was reported that Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard Kevin Martin would be receiving a lot of attention on the free agent market. Now, it looks like that interest could tempt him to leave town.

Martin had previously said that he would be willing to take a pay cut, but we had assumed that stance would change once the free agent offers started to come in. It now seems that Martin may have an idea of how much interest he will receive on the open market, thanks to his agent, and that has to have him thinking about the big dollars.

From USA Today:

"Their third-leading scorer and the unofficial replacement for Harden, shooting guard Kevin Martin, is a free agent who is seriously considering leaving town. Martin told USA TODAY Sports that he has an interest in returning to the Thunder, but it’s clear he’s looking around and well aware of how unlikely it is that they’ll offer the sort of contract he’s looking for. The list of teams who are known to have an interest in him is long and intriguing, including the Minnesota Timberwolves, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Portland Trail Blazers, New Orleans Pelicans, Detroit Pistons and Memphis Grizzlies."

NBA Free Agency officially kicks off just after midnight on the East coast.
