The Indiana Pacers have a wealth of talent at the point guard position including George Hill, C.J. Watson and D.J. Augustin, but that has not stopped the Pacers from using NBA free agency to add another point guard by the name of Donald Sloan.
Sloan has spent time in China, but also played a small role with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season in which he tallied four points and two assists per game.
Ken Berger of CBS had the news of the signing first:
The Pacers have reached agreement on a multi-year deal with point guard Donald Sloan, league sources say.

It’s a multi-year contract for sloan, but other details at the moment are scarce. The Pacers may be thinking to moving Hill to the shooting guard position at this point with the way they are stockpiling talent at the point.
That, or you should never truly expect to see Sloan take the court in any kind of capacity.
Indiana has been searching for an answer at point guard for a few years. We’re not sure Sloan is that answer, but it’s a step in the right direction.
