The Home Run Derby is always the most exciting part of MLB All-Star Weekend, so fans were anxiously waiting for the announcement of the Home Run Derby field. Today, we finally learned who will be participating in the event and we were not disappointed. The star-studded cast was announced today.

To be clear, those players are NL team captain David Wright of the New York Mets, Carlos Gonzalez of the Colorado Rockies, Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals and Michael Cuddyer of the Rockies. For the AL, who is led by team captain Robinson Cano of the New York Yankees, the squad is completed with Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles, defending champ Prince Fielder of the Detroit Tigers and a yet to be determined player.

The American League squad certainly seems to be more loaded on paper.
