Kevin Durant Is Engaged To WNBA’s Monica Wright

Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant is off the market and is engaged to WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx point guard Monica Wright. Interestingly enough, Monica Wright is the same name of the character in the movie “Love and Basketball.”
Post-game Monica Wright confirmed reports that she and Kevin Durant are engaged. So there's that.

The two basketball stars have known each other since 2006. Both were dominant basketball players in the DC area and named player of the year in the 2006 All-Met. They first met at the McDonald’s All-American game supposedly.
It was just reported that they were dating last month, so while it seems rushed, their history suggests they’ve been seeing each other privately for longer.
"After being close friends since high school, linked by their successful basketball careers, the couple reportedly took things to the next level months ago. But romance has long been on Kevin’s mind: in 2011 he tweeted, “Or maybe I need a basketball playing girlfriend…hmm lol…monica wright where r u(love and basketball).”And the feelings of love and admiration clearly go both ways. After Kevin donated $1 million to the tornado relief in Oklahoma, Monica gushed about her man: “He’s got a heart of gold, and anytime (something like) this happens, he’s the first one who wants to help,” Monica told FoxSportsNorth. “He’s a really compassionate guy.”"
Kevin Durant is one of the NBA’s most popular stars, and cares deeply about his community.
