The Chicago Cubs and elite pitcher Matt Garza are a popular bunch right now when it comes to MLB trade rumors. Chicago may be interested in offering Garza a new contract, but there have been plenty of teams in attendance watching Garza play, potentially to offer a deal before the deadline.

The latest teams to supposedly watch Garza pitch? The obvious is the Texas Rangers. After that you have the Detroit Tigers, Baltimore Orioles, Pittsburgh Pirates and Toronto Blue Jays. These teams were reported by Gregg Rosenthal via Twitter:

Now, not all of these teams may have a direct interest in Garza, as Rosenthal goes on to point out:

Still, we would be lying if we said Garza was not the main attraction. All of the above teams could have a vested interest in Garza. Everything is simply speculation at this point.

Expect these kind of scouting reports and things of that nature to continue to trickle out until the deadline. It’s almost a fact the Cubs will allow it to play out until the last second in order to get as much value as possible in exchange for Garza—if they truly intend to move him at all.
