Home Run Derby 2013: NL Roster
By Josh Sanchez
New York Mets third baseman David Wright served as the team captain for the National League in the 2013 Home Run Derby, which meant that he was responsible for picking the squad. Wright did a great job at picking both star power and production. There was a late addition to the NL line-up, however, as Pittsburgh Pirates third baseman Pedro Alvarez stepped in as an injury replacement.
The NL squad may not have the same early season production as their opponents, but they have plenty of power and could easily produce the winner tonight.
Here is your National League line-up for tonight’s Home Run Derby:
Bryce Harper, OF, Washington Nationals: .264, 14 HR, 29 RBI, .371 OBP
David Wright, 3B, New York Mets: .304, 13 HR, 44 RBI, .396 OBP
Michael Cuddyer, OF, Colorado Rockies: .330, 16 HR, 55 RBI, .391 OBP
Pedro Alvarez, 3B, Pittsburgh Pirates: .250, 24 HR, 62 RBI, .311 OBP
