The New York Jets are looking to add some weapons for either Mark Sanchez or Geno Smith depending on who wins the starting quarterback job.
Conor Orr of the Star-Ledger reports the New York Jets have brought in former Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Laurent Robinson for a work out.
ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter also reporterd that former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Austin Collie has landed a work out with the New York Jets as well.
The Jets are still trying to get wide receiver Santonio Holmes back on the field. Holmes is still recovering from an injury last season and hasn’t receive a return date yet.
When Jacksonville signed Laurent Robinson last year to a 5 year $32.5 million deal it was considered a steal from the Cowboys. But Robinson suffered 4 concussions last season and was then released.
Orr also points out that the New England Patriots could pursue Robinson as well.
Jets are working out former Colts WR Austin Collie today, per team source. Collie also has worked out for Pats and Niners.
