Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond are among the players that are currently at the Team USA minicamp and there have recently been rumors suggesting that the Detroit Pistons could potentially package Monroe in order to trade for Rajon Rondo. If you ask Monroe himself, it’s just a bunch of rubbish.

"“I think neither of us want a change,” Monroe said of his standing with the Pistons. “People are going to write stuff. I just laugh at it most of the time, because it’s foolish. That’s how people get paid nowadays. Guys like us have to live with it because we can’t comment on it. It’s going to happen. As long as I know the truth, I’m fine with it.”(via SI.com)"

Obviously players don’t know all of the behind the scenes conversations that executives around the league have, but he probably doesn’t need to have that big of a concern just yet.

Detroit will be going into next season with a starting frontcourt of Drummond, Monroe and Josh Smith. None of the players are great shooters and the floor could shrink for the Pistons. Despite the talent, the three players are unlikely to be good fits on the floor together, so the Pistons could potentially look into some trade scenarios somewhere down the road.
