Pierre Garcon: Washington Redskins offense could be best ever
By Stu White
Okay, new rule addition to the training camp drinking game: Drink every time a player makes a bold prediction that has almost no chance of coming true.
Washington Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon delivered such a proclamation on Thursday, saying he believes his team has the potential to field the best offense in NFL history (via USA Today):
"We have the potential to be the best offense ever, really. We can be the top offense in the league. We have a lot of great players at every position. We have a great offensive line, great tight ends, great receivers, running backs and quarterback."
Garcon missed six games during the 2012 season dealing with a toe sprain he suffered againt the New Orleans Saints in the opening week. He also had a surgery this off-season to repair a torn labrum. However, those ailments have done nothing to diminish his confidence, especially when it comes to quarterback Robert Griffin III:
"He throws the ball and I just go get it wherever he puts it. We continue to be on the same page. We understand the playbook a little better now. Our chemistry will be better than ever. Whenever Robert gets back out there, whenever he can throw with the team, we’re going to continue to grow."
Your first chance to see the Greatest Offense Ever will be a preseason game against the Tennessee Titans on August 8th.
