Michael Young is the hottest name on the market right now but has the final say in where he goes to play thanks to a no-trade clause in his contract.

Some have said Young would waive the no-trade clause to join the Boston Red Sox. However, Scott Lauber via Twitter says the only team Young is open to going to is the Texas Rangers:

That is quite a blow for the Red Sox considering they have been the favorites to land Young all along. Now it looks like the only place Young will end up, if anywhere at all, is in Texas.

Young’s interest in Texas is smart. He has the change to win it all and receive plenty of playing time, but it is hard to tell at this point if a deal will get done. Not much has been heard from the Rangers since this news originally leaked.

Don’t expect Young to move before the deadline. If he does, it may only be to the Rangers.
