Swimming World Championships 2013: Results and medal count

The 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona have been featuring some of the biggest names in the sport and United States star Missy Franklin was among the top performers in yesterday’s action.

Franklin was part of the United States 400m Freestyle Relay along with Natalie Coughlin, Shannon Vreeland and Megan Romano that won gold. She added a first=place finish in the 100m backstroke with a time of 58.42 seconds as she added a gold medal in the worlds to go along with her Olympic gold from the London Games.

Katie Ledecky of the USA also shined with a world record in the 1500m freestyle.
