According to the Charlotte Observer, Carolina Panthers left tackle Jordan Gross has yet to decide if this season will be his last, but did say that he will only play for Carolina in 2014.
The 33 year old offensive tackle restructured his contract in March, voiding the final 3 years of his deal. He’ll be a free agent on the 5th day of the 2014 league year.
"“If I wanted to move somewhere else, this last offseason was my opportunity to do that – if I would have put up a big fuss and got myself out of this organization. A year later is another year less appealing to go somewhere else. I’m not worried about the team having leverage on me if I say I’m only playing here…I’m only going to play here.” Gross told the Charlotte Observer"
When asked about his status on next season, he responded with
"“I really don’t know. It’s nice because I don’t have to worry about it. There’s a lot of good outcomes that can happen.” via Charlotte Observer"
Gross started all 16 games last season, giving him a Panthers club record 151.
