Training camp scuffles are almost just a part of the NFL summer experience. Yesterday a Carolina Panthers practice turned into to what head coach Ron Rivera called a “melee.”
Today the Green Bay Packers had several ‘fights’ break out in their camp one after another. It looks like there is a lot of pushing and shoving, not really any punches thrown and no one hurt thankfully.
Fox 11 captured video of the fisticuffs:
"The Packers look to be about ready to line up against another team. Wednesday morning’s training camp practice session included several scuffles in rapid succession. The three fights happened during a period where half of the offensive line tried to run the ball against half of the defense. The first dust-up involved offensive lineman T.J. Lang and rookie linebacker Sam Barrington. The second was between offensive lineman Greg Van Roten and linebacker Robert Francois. The final one, appearing to be the biggest, started between tight end Jermichael Finley and linebacker Jarvis Reed, but soon many more players got involved."
