After their blow out loss against the Oakland Athletics, the organization has decided to make some moves of their own.

First up on the board, will be J.P. Arencibia. An MRI revealed that Arencibia has knee bursitis in his right knee. He missed the last three games but could return to the Blue Jays line up today. He’ll avoid the disabled list for now and will play in today’s game.

Arencibia returns to the lineup with a .211/.247/.394 batting line with 17 home runs over 355 at-bats this season for the Jays.

Next up is left handed pitcher Juan Perez, who will be placed on the 15 disabled list with a turn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow. He suffered this injury in last nights lost and will more than likely miss the rest of the aged season and part of next season.

By adding Perez to the disabled list, they have called up Mickey Storey, a right handed pitcher from Triple-A Buffalo. Storey appeared in two games with the Blue Jays earlier this season, carrying a 2.79 ERA at the Triple-A level. The 27 year old will add depth to their bullpen.

Drew Hutchinson, a right handed pitcher was activated from the 60 day disabled list then optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.

Hutchinson is still in recovery mode after having Tommy John surgery and will continue to rehab at the Triple-A level. The Jays could call him up when the rosters expand next month. Just have to see how that arm is doing.

Last but not least, Melky Cabrera, the man who had a lot of negative attention last season. Cabrera could return from the disabled list early next month. He won’t require surgery to his strained left knee, but will be sidelined for at least another three weeks. The Blue Jays will continue to go with Emilio Bonifacio and Rajai Davis in his absence.
