I know this isn’t really breaking news, but I have a feeling it may interest those who watch the sport or at least play it.

I don’t honestly remember anybody attempting to do this, usually you are either a lefty or right. I mean when I used to play or just shoot around, I would always try to shoot with my left hand just to see how it would end up, usually didn’t end up good.

I have no idea how this will work out for Thompson, but it is interesting to know that someone in this league is trying to change their shooting hand. This usually has something to do with the brain, right?

Anyways, Tristan Thompson from the Cleveland Cavaliers is going to try to change his shooting hand, from his left to his right. Thompson has been a left handed shooter his entire career but debuted the change on Thursday night while playing for Canada in an exhibition game.

I’m pretty sure this is the first time somebody has attempted to do this in NBA history, I mean actually doing it, not joking around during warm ups.

Thompson has improved his shooting percentage this season hitting over 48 percent from the field, but he continues to struggle at the free throw line with a 60 percent rate.

Since I have no way of being in the same room with Thompson to witness this, hopefully there is at least a video of this attempt that will end up on the internet.
