This just about sums up the Dallas Cowboys in a nut shell. The Cowboys and their quarterbacks, as well as head coach and former quarterback Jason Garrett took turns throwing footballs at the cross bar in a competition of sorts.
The problem? No one could do it.
Apparently, if one of them hit the cross bar it would send the whole team to the beach, so there was a lot of hope riding on each attempt. The announcer clearly says “Here is Jason Garrett…. to send them to the beach” when he is throwing.
“You know we had about five guys, throwing so one of us was going to hit it,” Romo said. “I thought I caught it there twice, but it’s a tough throw.”
A reporter asks, “the embarrassment shows that [someone I can’t tell] really did fake it, huh?”
“Well, you know there is some editing some times. More than anything I thought Alex hit it. You know, you could see it from here, it’s a little deceiving as to where they yellow thing is behind it.”
