After last week’s final Major of the season, this week the PGA Tour’s focus will be on the Sedgefield Country Club as the Wyndham Championship is the final tournament before the FedEx Cup. Most of the big names aren’t in play this week, but the lesser names are fighting to get into the playoffs starting next week, so there’s sure to be plenty of drama. Wyndham is typically low-scoring, high-drama action, so make sure to get your lineups in and tune in throughout the weekend.
Last week, “Fivot’s Divot’s” got the win in our Fantasy CPR group with 167 points. My entry had a solid 153 and I’m third in the Summer standings. “Above Par” is up top for the Summer Segment although he had his weakest tournament this past week. “Foot-Wedge” is on top of the season points race and is pulling away with just a few weeks left.
As we hit the playoffs, it’s time to get your best foursome on the course. Here’s my picks for the Wyndham:
A-List

Bill Haas: Haas has back-to-back top 25’s and has a pair of top 20s at Sedgefield. He has a tour-best nine top ten’s this season and looks primed for a solid FedEx Cup run.
Sergio Garcia: Garcia won this event last year and has made every cut in his 24 tournaments since except for a WD at Bay Hill. In his two trips to Sedgefield, he’s left with top five finishes making him a must own this week.
B-List
Webb Simpson: Simpson won this tournament two years ago and has a pair of top 25s on either side of that win. He’s also coming off a strong showing last week.
Aug 11, 2013; Rochester, NY, USA; Zach Johnson tees off on the 3rd hole during the final round of the 95th PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. Mandatory Credit: Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports
Zach Johnson: Johnson is on fire right now with four straight top tens. A t8 last week at the PGA Championship sets him up for a strong playoff run.
David Toms: Toms finished seventh at the PGA Championship and has a solid track record at Wyndham including a solo second in 2010.
Daniel Summerhays: Before a rough wee at the Canadian Open where he finished t80, Summerhays had racked up three straight top 10’s in the Greenbrier, John Deere, and Sanderson Farms tournaments.
C-List
Aug 6, 2013; Rochester, NY, USA; Hideki Matsuyama tees off on the 10th hole during the practice round of the 95th PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club. Mandatory Credit: Allan Henry-USA TODAY Sports
Hideki Matsuyama: The Japanese pro has been impressive since playing on tour. He has finished in the top 25 in all five of his recent tournaments including the PGA, British, and US Open Chmpionships. Matsuyama
Matt Jones: Jones has three top ten’s in his last six tournaments including back-to-back top tens before last week’s t40 at the PGA Championship. Jones has struggled at this event in the past, but this week is about the unerdog, so I’ll go with Jones as a flier pick in this one.
