The Cincinnati Bengals got a tremendous boost this week as All-Pro receiver A.J. Green returned to the practice field for the first time since suffering a bone bruise on his knee two weeks ago. Green was healthy enough to practice right after the injury happened, but given the rash of injuries that have plagued NFL teams this year, it was a wise move by the Bengals to hold him out a few weeks just to ensure he’s on the field for Week 1 vs. the Chicago Bears.
Green said today that though he’s healthy, it’s unlikely he’ll be seeing any game-action this weekend vs. the Tennessee Titans:
A.J. Green returned to full action today at #Bengals. But when asked if he expects to play Saturday, he said "Probably not."

Asked if he thinks we'll see A.J. Green on Saturday, Jay Gruden said "Hopefully on the sidelines signing autographs." #Bengals

The Bengals expect Green to make his preseason game-action debut in next week’s game vs. the Dallas Cowboys. That’s the third preseason game, which is typically treated as the dress rehearsal for the regular-season opener.
