The Green Bay Packers breathed life into Vince Young’s career and brought him to training camp and he was determined to impress in hopes that they’d keep him around beyond this season. Apparently Young is living up to his words. FOX Sports Wisconsin even chose him as their “Movin’ On Up” player in an article last night.

Instead FOX Sports writes that he “in just his sixth practice with the team, Vince Young has really started to get comfortable in the Packers’ offense and has gotten rid of a lot of the rust that he came in with.”

“Vince Young is clearly different today than he was this time last week,” McCarthy said. “He’s progressing. We’ve been able to spend some extra time with him. It’s been beneficial.”

They describe a drill where quarterbacks rolled out and threw across their bodies into a targeting net and Young was a perfect 3 for 3 in the drill and reportedly was “far the most accurate quarterback in that drill, even better than Aaron Rodgers.”

Young also impressed with some downfield throws, something he has been doing with more frequency then previously.
