Coming into a season with a brand new head coach and offensive scheme, as a player you would like to do all the right things to impress your new coach.

Former first round draft pick Jon Baldwin seems to be on Andy Reid’s bubble. According to Adam Teicher on Twitter, Andy Reid commented on Baldwins ability to catch the football, saying:

"“I can tell you that when given the opportunity in this league you’d better catch the football.” Adam Teicher posted on Twitter"

It’s not very good when your head coaches patience runs thin with you, this could result in you losing your job as either a starter or a member of the team. Through two preseason games so far, Baldwin has zero catches and seems to be falling even further behind Donnie Avery for the No. 2 wide receiver job.

Baldwin doesn’t really have any ties to the new coaching staff, so it wouldn’t be a complete shock to me if he does in fact get cut when they are announced. If he wants to avoid getting called to coaches office and handing in his playbook, he needs to step it up and step it up quick.
