Some good news for Phoenix Suns fans, big man Marcin Gortat was cleared to play by Suns team doctors and first round pick Alex Len says he is pain free.

Although Gortat was cleared, he will play for his national team of Polish. Which is a good start, it gives him a head start with basketball activities getting him ready for training camp. The Suns’ starting center is on the short list of NBA starters who could be traded this season.

Alex Len said that he will be ready for training camp as he is pain free.

"“I’ve got two more weeks of rehab then I’ll be back about 85-90 percent. I’ll be back for training camp and be ready for the season. The ankle’s feeling great. I have no pain.” Len told the Arizona Republic"

The 7’1 rookie has had two surgeries in two months, he also told the Arizona Republic that the Suns asked him to do the precautionary second ankle operation.

"“I’m trying to just focus on the other things. Just learn the game because there are a lot of things I have to learn, different rules and stuff like that. I don’t really think about it. The doctors tell me just not worry about it. Everything’s great. I’m feeling right. I don’t feel any pain so there’s nothing to worry about.” Len continued to tell the Arizona Republic"

The rookie has been out of a walking boot for over one week now and lost 10 pounds after the surgery but gained it back this summer. The Suns will more than likely take it easy on Len so he probably won’t get much playing time to start off his career while Gortat is still around.
