Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell has been hampered by injuries throughout training camp and the preseason, but it looks like the most recent injury that was suffered during Monday Night Football against the Washington Redskins could keep the rookie out of action for an extended period of time.
Bell was initially diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain, which has varying recovery times based on the severity of the injury, and he will now seek a second medical opinion to determine the full extent of the damage.
Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports passed along the news:
Steelers say Le'Veon Bell will not play this weekend. Team is awaiting results of second opinion and final diagnosis.

This is not what the Steelers and their fans want to hear.
Often times, players seek a second opinion when they are hoping to hear better news about their injury.
Bell has already been ruled out for the team’s third preseason game this Saturday against the Kansas City Chiefs and it is beginning to look like he could be out of action much longer.
With Bell on the sidelines, the team will look to the familiar duo of Isaac Redman and Johnathan Dwyer for production.
