Cincinnati Bengals without Tyler Eifert and Carlos Dunlap tonight
By Jason Marcum
The Cincinnati Bengals are in Dallas tonight to take on the Cowboys, and as far as the inactives go, there’s really no surprises here other than rookie tight end Tyler Eifert being a late scratch with a minor wrist injury, and defensive end Carlos Dunlap being out once again. Dunlap was able to suit up this week in practice, suggesting he may be on track for tonight’s game in Dallas as he recovers from a concussion.
It’s highly-unlikely he’ll play in the team’s fourth preseason game, which means he’ll once again have missed nearly the entire preseason due to injury. Hopefully, the team is just playing it safe after inking him to a six-year, $40 million contract this offseason.
Left tackle Andrew Whitworth isn’t going to play as he sits out his third straight week while he recovers from offseason knee surgery.
There is some positive injury news, as Making his 2013 debut is second-year defensive tackle Brandon Thompson (knee), and he’s expected to take a ton of snaps.
