San Francisco 49ers running back LaMichael James has a sprained MCL. James left Thursday’s season finale with a left knee injury. Before leaving the game James carried the ball two times for negative four yards.
RB-PR LaMichael James has a sprained MCL. Prognosis unclear at this point. Kyle Williams is the backup PR; Quinton Patton backup KR?

In a preseason game last weekend, James left the game following the first series of the second half with an elbow injury.
“I think LaMichael’s fine,” head coach Jim Harbaugh said, via CSN Bay Area. “LaMichael’s fine. He’s going through something with his elbow.”
LaMichael James could have a rough season ahead of him entering it banged up. This injury is a multi-week injury that should cause him to miss the season opener at least. James had slipped to the third running back position behind Frank Gore and and Kendall Hunter. This obviously won’t change much from a fantasy owners perspective or from a game planning angle on the 49ers end.
