Tennessee Titans final roster cuts: release 6 players

The NFL deadline for trimming rosters down to the final 53 men is some time this evening. This has led to a flurry of activity today. The Tennesse Titans have released 6 players.

That means that they will go with only Ryan Fitzpatrick behind Jake Locker this season. That could be a show of confidence in Locker’s health and ability to stay healthy. A risky decision if you ask me. Smith had only appeared in 3 games over 3 seasons with the Titans

The Titans have released fullback Collin Mooney but are expected to re-sign him to the practice squad. Mooney is a versatile player who can carry the ball or contribute on special teams.
