The Cincinnati Bengals are looking to find a young quarterback to sign and develop on their practice squad, and they could be looking to former New York Jets QB Greg McElroy to fill that role, according to Jason La Canfora with CBSSports.com:
Greg McElroy cleared waivers. working on INJ settlement w/Jets who wanted him back later. Likely to sign to CIN practice squad #CBSKickOff

The Jets waived McElroy from their injured-reserve list after negotiating an injury settlement, meaning McElroy is free to sign with another team.
A seventh-round pick in 2011, McElroy had been listed consistently as third on the team’s depth chart, but did come off the bench to pull out a win over the Arizona Cardinals late last year.
He completed 19/31 passes for 214 yards and a touchdown, one interception and a lost fumble.
