The New York Giants have released their injury report for the first week of the NFL season.

From the New York Daily News’ Ralph Vacchiano:

"Eight players on the Giants’ first pre-practice injury report of the season: C David Baas (knee), RB Andre Brown (leg), WR Victor Cruz (heel), CB Jayron Hosley (ankle), FB Henry Hynoski (knee), DE Damontre Moore (shoulder), DE Jason Pierre-Paul (back) and TE Adrien Robinson (foot). #NYG"

A notable name left of that list is wide receiver Hakeem Nicks. There was speculation that Nicks had a lingering injury entering the season. In 83 snaps he caught 3 passes for 77 yards. Last year he entered the season with an injury but appears to be 100% heading into this season.

Good news for the Giants and fantasy owners. When healthy Nicks is an elite receiver that can put up big numbers.
