The Miami Dolphins drafted Koa Misi in the 2010 draft. And now, they have extended him for four years. Let’s talk about it:

"Terms weren’t disclosed, but a person with knowledge of the contract told USA TODAY Sports it includes about $17 million in new money with $9 million guaranteed. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Dolphins don’t reveal contract details publicly."

Oh so I guess you didn’t read this post. Shhh! Don’t tell anybody. Anyway, here’s a peek into his career:

"A second-round draft pick out of Utah in 2010, Misi has appeared in 42 NFL games and started 34, recording 132 tackles, nine sacks and two forced fumbles."

Cool.  Hope he lives up to it. He’s 26 now. I would think that’s prime years in football while by the time the contract is over, he’d be old. This is especially for a linebacker. Gotta wonder if those knees hold up.
