The Pittsburgh Steelers lost the home opener against the Tennessee Titans, but it was an injury within the first five minutes of the game that really had the Steelesr hurting. Early in the first quarter, All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey was rolled up on by teammate David DeCastro.

Pouncey was carted off the field and taken to the hospital for an MRI where it was discovered that he suffered damage to his ACL and MCL that will require surgery and force him to miss the remainder of the season.

It just wasn’t the Steelers day.

To make things even worse for the Steelers, Larry Foote suffered a ruptured biceps.

It was a costly loss for the Steelers in Week One that goes far beyond the box score. They will look to turn things around next week on Monday Night Football when they travel to Ohio to take on the division rival Cincinnati Bengals. Hopefully they will have better luck in their second attempt at a W this season.
