Many former Oklahoma State players have taken to Twitter to defend their alma mater and denounce the allegations in Sports Illustrated’s article. That list now includes Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant who was suspended for nearly his entire senior season for violating NCAA rules.
Dez tweeted: ” I wish somebody would have offered me 25k when I was at OSU. If I didn’t get paid I’m damn sure nobody else got paid”
Bryant quickly deleted the tweet, but it had already been retweeted by multiple members of the media in Dallas and a fan even caught the tweet on screen shot. Once it’s out there on the internet it stays.
His comments are humorous and likely true. If they weren’t paying an impoverished star athlete like Dez Bryant who were they paying. It kind of echoes Tatum Bell’s comments.
@DezBryant I wish somebody would have offered me 25k when I was at OSU. If I didn't get paid I'm damn sure nobody else got paid”
