After losing Ahmad Brawshaw to the Indianapolis Colts, Andre Brown to another injury and David Wilson to, well, fumbling, the New York Giants are bringing back one of their former backs, Brandon Jacobs.
Amazing story: It looks like the Giants are about to re-sign Brandon Jacobs, according to a source.

This Jacobs signing is more than what he could on the field. He'll be asked to be a veteran presence to help David Wilson.

Jacobs left the Giants after the 2012 season to sign with the San Francisco 49ers, but rushed for just seven yards on five carries and only played in two games.
Jacobs last played for the Giants in 2011 when he rushed for 571 yards and seven touchdowns on 152 carries as the Giants went on to win the Super Bowl.
Jacobs was originally selected by the Giants with 110th pick of the 2005 draft. He had back-to-back 1,000 yard seasons in 2007 and 2008.
