Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was limited during practice today while battling a hamstring injury according to Mike Jurecki on Twitter.

With the Detroit Lions coming into town on Sunday, they’re going to need Fitzgerald as healthy as he can be as they prepare for a battle against an offense who has improved.

Fitzgerald has always been known to be one of the best receivers in the league. Last season he only caught four touchdown passes mainly because quarterbacks were having trouble staying off the ground as their offensive line struggled to protect them.

He’s been in the league for a decent amount of time but when given the opportunity, Fitz reminds us he’s still an elite receiver. Now that Carson Palmer is in Arizona, Fitz should have a year that will overshadow his previous season. He already has two touchdown receptions which came against the St. Louis Rams last weekend.

If he’s able to go on Sunday, which I think he will, he should get a couple more chances to add a couple more touchdown receptions against the Lions.

Hopefully the hamstring injury isn’t that big of a problem. This offense really needs him if they want to keep their heads above water.
