The Blazers are filling out their training camp roster with the signing of Richard Howell. Fox News has the details:

"Howell averaged 12.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists last season at  North Carolina State. He ranks fifth all-time for the Wolfpack with 1,055  rebounds. The 6-foot-8 forward played in three games for the Denver Nuggets’ Summer  League team, averaging 1.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.30 blocked shots and 10.7  minutes. With the signing of Howell on Friday, the Blazers’ roster is at 19  players."

Mhm. You are limited to 15 players in the NBA, in case you didn’t know. The Blazers liked what they saw from him in the Summer League so I guess they’re gonna try him out for themselves. Will he make the team? I guess he could; and then develop in the D-League. Or he doesn’t make the team and still plays in the D-League. Either way, I see the D-League in his future.

But, he could find playing time on a tanking team that would be willing to invest time into him. That’s a possibility too.
