One week after his impressive debut with the Detroit Lions, running back Reggie Bush suffered a knee injury in the first half that raised immediate concern on the sidelines. Arizona Cardinals defensive back Tony Jefferson delivered a shoulder pad right to the left knee of Bush, who immediately went down grabbing his injured left knee.

The good news for the Lions is that Bush was able to hobble off the field under his own power. However, he did show obvious signs of frustration on the sidelines as the doctors looked on when he slammed his fist down on the garbage can.
When you watch the play, you can see that Bushās left leg was off of the ground. If his foot was planted, that could have been a devastating torn ACL for Bush.
Instead, Bush was able to avoid a serious injury and return to the field just a few minutes later.
