On Tuesday, a report surfaced that all world cornerback Darrelle Revis was upset with Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Greg Schiano. Revis is apparently upset about Schiano’s defensive scheme.
“Schiano’s rules are a little too strict for [Revis] after coming from Rex Ryan,” Mike Garafolo said on the FOX Sports report. “Also, not playing enough man coverage.”
With Revis, the Buccaneers have clearly played better. They’ve given up 34 total points in two games after trotting out the worst pass defense in league history last year.
Revis has always had problems in some capacity, usually due to his contract. There are now questions from Revis about that this year as the Bucs gave Revis a six-year, $96 million deal in the offseason.
Revis is trying to calm the storm, but assuring the world he is happy to be part of the organization.
What's going on Buc fans. Just to clear the smoke. I'm happy to be a Buccaneer & I'm happy to be a resident of Tampa.
