As one Milwaukee Brewer faces punishment from the league, another player who has contributed up until this year is pleading his case to the franchise to keep him on board.

After the season ends, Corey Hart’s contract with the Milwaukee Brewers will expire and he will become a free agent. Hart hasn’t played a single game this season for the Brewers and could be looking at the end of his career in Milwaukee.

The 31 year old veteran outfielder/first baseman had surgery on both of his knees and is still trying to convince Milwaukee’s front-office to bring him back for another ride with the team. He’s so interested in staying, he’s willing to take a pay cut just to stay with the Brewers.

"“I told them I would be very generous to stay here. I wouldn’t sit there and ask for anything outlandish. I’d definitely take a discount to stay here because I think I owe it to them to stay here and be a cheaper player.” Corey Hart said in an interview."

Hart has a career batting line of .276/.334/.491 with 154 home runs and 508 RBI’s in his nine year career with the Milwaukee Brewers.

If he won’t get picked up by the Brewers, he could get a spring training invitation by another team looking for a cheap utility player.

What do you think Milwaukee Brewers fans, should they keep Corey Hart or move on?
