Some people live close to where they work because they don’t like commutes and want to spend the minimum amount of time in the car as possible. Some people prefer to live further away so that they can get away from work when their day is over. So they can’t be bothered and called in when they’re off.
Gareth Bale took it to another level with his new home. It has to be just a couple of blocks away based on the look of it. It also offers an incredible view of Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Great view of my new home! http://t.co/2oYTkjgYNf

There were reports that he was looking to buy former Madrid player Mesut Özil’s home.
From the Mirror:
"Bale and his partner Emma are understood to have looked to Ozil’s upmarket property in the Spanish capital’s La Moraleja district.Arsenal’s record £42m signing Ozil has put his property on the market with estate agents who have offered it for rent or permanent sale.It is in an area known as Madrid’s Beverley Hills and is where Real superstar Cristiano Ronaldo lives and where David Beckham used to have a house.Bale has been tipped to buy a property there and Ozil’s plush pad makes perfect sense, with the German star now looking to buy a place in North London. It is believed that Bale’s lawyers are trying to negotiate a deal – but there could yet be a hitch."
There is no indication if this is Özil’s old home. It certainly doesn’t seem like home the Mirror described.
