The Green Bay Packers are 1-1 with a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals coming this week. By the end of Week 3, the Packers will have played three playoff teams from a year ago, and they’ll have done so without two of their best defenders.

With cornerback Casey Hayward already having been ruled out, it appears the PAck will also be without their top safety in Morgan Burnett, according to Mike Spofford of Packers.com:

"S Morgan Burnett (hamstring) practiced on a limited basis, but in the portion of the workout open to reporters, he was doing jog-thru work on the scout team, so he may be held out until after the bye week as well."

In the 2012 season, Burnett was 1 of only 2 defensive players in the entire NFL to play every single snap in every game in the entire season, along with James Laurinaitis of the St. Louis Rams. His return will only boost a much-improved Packers defense and help Green Bay defense keep up with the high-scoring offense.
