New York Giants at Carolina Panthers final score: Panthers dominate Giants 38-0
Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton went 15-for-27 passing with 223 yards and three touchdowns through the air and rushed for another touchdown as the Panthers rolled over the New York Giants 38-0.
Newton added 45 yards on the ground on 7 carries and scored on a 3-yard jaunt in the third quarter to add to his magnificent day.
Running back DeAngelo Williams rushed 23 times for 120 yards and wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. added 3 receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown to help lead the Panthers attack.
Perhaps the story of the day is the Carolina defense. Not only did they pitch a shutout of the New York offense, they held them to just 150 total yards. Quarterback Eli Manning was held to 119 yards through the air with an interception.
The Panthers allowed only 60 yards on the ground in an all-around dominate performance on both sides of the ball.
For the Giants, they remain winless on the season. With losses to Dallas, Denver and now Carolina, New York will be desperately seeking a win next week at the up-and-coming Kansas City Cheifs.
Carolina gets their first win of the season and moves to 1-2 overall. They enjoy a bye next week and continue at Arizona on October 6th.
